Pliers Manufacturing Process

Each stage in this process is crucial to ensuring the end product’s quality and usefulness. Every part is meticulously conceived and performed, from the raw material selection to the final packaging.

STEP 1
Rod Cutting
Rod Cutting

The procedure begins by cutting metal rods to the desired lengths, which serve as the raw material for the pliers.

STEP 2
Forging

Using high-pressure forging procedures, the chopped metal rods are heated and formed into a crude form of pliers.

STEP 3
Forging Descaling
Forging Descaling

Forging descaling is the process of eliminating the oxide layer that forms on the metal surface during forging, hence cleaning the metal.

STEP 4
Full Hardening

The pliers are heat treated to increase their overall hardness and strength.

STEP 5
Shot Blasting

To eliminate rust and level out the surface of the pliers, small metal pellets are blasted at high speeds onto the surface.

STEP 6
Coining

To generate more fine features and curves, high pressure is used to particular sections of the pliers.

STEP 7
Hole Drilling & Joint Milling
Hole Drilling Joint Milling

In the pliers, holes are drilled and joints are machined for assembly.

STEP 8
Face A Profile Milling
Face A Profile Milling

A certain shape and profile is formed by milling one side of the pliers.

STEP 9
Face B Profile Milling
Face B Profile Milling

This is similar to Face A milling, however it is done on the opposite side of the pliers.

STEP 10
Cutting Edge Milling
Cutting Edge Milling

The pliers' cutting edges are finely machined to ensure sharpness and precision.

STEP 11
Riveting
Riveting

Riveting techniques are used to attach different sections of the pliers together.

STEP 12
Pin Pressing & Notching
Pin Pressing&Notching

Pins are pushed into certain sections of the pliers, and notches are formed as needed.

STEP 13
Cutting Edge Laser Hardening
Cutting Edge Laser Hardening

For increased durability, the cutting edges of the pliers are hardened utilizing laser technology.

STEP 14
Manual Fitting
Manual Fitting

The pliers' many pieces are carefully assembled to ensure perfection.

STEP 15
Polishing
Polishing

To obtain the necessary amount of brilliance and smoothness, the pliers are polished.

STEP 16
Laser Marking
Laser Marking

Laser technology is used to imprint brand logos, model numbers, and other information on pliers.

STEP 17
Sleeving
Sleeving

To increase grip comfort and aesthetics, protective sleeves are applied to the pliers' handles.

STEP 18
Packing
Packing

The finished pliers are packed for sale or shipment.

STEP 19
Forging
Testing

Some pliers may go through a second forging procedure to increase their structure and endurance.

Pliers Manufacturing Process Summary

The plier manufacturing method is an 18-step process that combines traditional artistry and contemporary technologies.
It begins with raw material preparation (Rod Cutting), then advances to shape (Forging, different Milling procedures), surface treatment (Forging Descaling, Shot Blasting), and strengthening (Full Hardening, Cutting Edge Laser Hardening). Coining, Riveting, and Manual Fitting are critical stages that assure precision and operation, while Laser Marking and Sleeving improve aesthetics and branding.
Packing ensures that the pliers are ready for distribution at the end of the operation.
Each phase is critical to the overall quality, longevity, and ergonomic design of the finished product.
