Full Automatic Seat Grinding Machine (Robot Arm)
The UB-MCZ305B is a fully automatic seat grinding machine for carbide-tipped circular saw blades. The seat is the small pocket at each tooth position on the blade body, and it is the surface the carbide tip is brazed onto. If the seats are not flat, square and all at the same radius, the tip sits crooked, and tooth grinding afterwards can only take that error down so far; that is why seat grinding comes before brazing. It grinds 10 to 30 teeth a minute for a shift output of about 15,000 teeth, on blades from 100 to 305 mm diameter with arbor sizes 12 to 50 mm and tooth pitches 8 to 50 mm. One operator can run 10 to 15 machines.

- A dedicated mechanical drive holds tooth-feed position and grinding depth tooth to tooth, correcting body runout to within 0.05 mm
