Full Automatic Face Angle Grinding Machine (Robot Arm)
The UB-MLQ260J is a fully automatic face angle grinding machine for carbide-tipped circular saw blades. The face angle, also called the front angle, is the rake surface at the front of each carbide tip — the first surface to meet the workpiece. It sits on brazed carbide rather than on the steel body, so it is ground with a diamond wheel: 220# or 280# on this machine, holding grinding precision to 0.03 mm at 20 teeth a minute. It works in a semi-enclosed cabinet and covers blades from 100 to 260 mm diameter, arbor sizes 12 to 50 mm and tooth pitches up to 65 mm. One operator can run 10 to 15 machines.
Highlights
- A robot arm clamps and releases each blade automatically
- Omron PLC and Mitsubishi servo micro-feed with a settable feed amount, for accurate grinding and low wheel wear
- Grinds every tooth form in one pass: alternate top bevel (ATB), flat-top, single-bevel and N-left / M-right patterns
- All left teeth are ground before all right teeth, which cuts head-reversal time and steadies throughput
- Automatic wheel compensation on left and right teeth keeps tooth height equal and takes up wear without manual feeding
- Grinding allowance for special tooth forms can be set freely
