Fully Automatic Side Angle Grinding Machine
The UB-MLC400B is a fully automatic twin-head side angle grinding machine for carbide-tipped circular saw blades: both side angles of a tooth are formed in one pass. Side angle grinding puts the clearance on the two flanks of each carbide tip: the tip stands proud of the blade body on both sides, and these two ground faces are what keep the body from rubbing the wall of the cut. Diamond wheels run 180# to 400# at 4 to 20 teeth a minute, on grinding widths of 1.5 to 12 mm. The guideway drive and electrical cabinet sit behind a sealed partition away from the coolant, with oil metered by a programmed electric pump. It covers blades from 100 to 405 mm diameter with arbor sizes 10 to 32 mm and tooth pitches up to 80 mm. Loading is by three-axis gantry robot, so one operator can run several machines.

- Modular cast-iron grinding units on HIWIN roller guideways and NSK precision bearings hold grinding accuracy to 0.01 mm
